I happened to go to Maraheb for lunch on Friday with my family. Visited their branch Located at Al Manara Street near Infinity car showroom, Al Safa. It is better to reach there as early as possible if you plan to go on weekends. The restuarnt opens at 1 pm on Fridays, and we were outside at 1 pm, in order to avoid missing out their Hanidh and avoid the queue of waiting people.
We were greeted by the friendly staff. They assisted us with the seating arrangements. There is an option for chair and table or sit on the ground in traditional style. The best part to enjoy the meal is to mix and eat the rice, meat and sauces with your hand.
When we settled down, we were served with there complimentary mutton soup, salad vegetables and yummy tomato sauce to have with the rice.
We ordered the Hanidh which is Maraheb’s specialty. It is the meat either – Ribs or Shoulders – served with freshly cooked long and tasty rice. Along with Hanidh, we ordered the Chicken Mandi.
The service was very good and our food arrived on time. The meat in Hanidh was just so fresh, soft and tender that it was actually melting in your mouth. The Chicken Mandi was as delicious as it looked and smelled. This is truly a place for all the Mandi lovers. Even those who have not tried out, come and have Mandi from here and for sure you will love it. After the meal, the staff offers you with complimentary mint tea, but unfortunately, on Fridays, they do not have this tea.
Maraheb is located in 2 more locations – International City and Nad Al Hammar. The place is worth a visit and i will definitely come back again. I will give 4 out of 5 rating to the location, food and ambiance.
